Job description

WHO WE ARE?

Being the daughter company of Swisscom - leading telecommunications company and one of the most sustainable and innovative companies in Switzerland - we share the same values, vision and goals.

As a trustworthy and efficient Swisscom IT service partner, we create valuable customer experiences. We work in a strong collaboration with our Partners in Switzerland and attract and retain high performers.

We're expanding our footprint in Riga and actively seeking 50+ DevOps Engineers to join our growing teams within this year.

We invite driven professionals to join us, grow with us, and help shape the future.

The team/project:

You will be working in our Python-based end-to-end test automation framework for virtual network components, and developing internal AI tooling — including an authenticated MCP gateway, agentic workflows, and RAG/hybrid retrieval pipelines. You'll split your time between component/system-level network testing and building the AI infrastructure that internal tools and agents run on.

As DevOps Engineer you will:

E2E Testing

  • Build and extend a Python-based e2e test automation framework for virtual network components

  • Design reusable, composable test building blocks that other engineers can build on

  • Validate component-level protocol behavior (TCP/IP, DNS, IPsec/VPN, routing, firewall policy) as well as full end-to-end network scenarios

  • Containerize and pipeline test infra through Docker and GitLab CI, keeping it reproducible and environment-agnostic (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes where relevant)

AI Tooling

  • Design and build centralised MCP gateway. Enabling the MCP server to expose internal tools and data sources to AI agents in a controlled, auditable way

  • Implement authentication, authorization, and access scoping for agentic workflows and MCP gateway

  • Build agentic graph workflows including multi-agents setups with PydanticAI agents and tools

  • Implement PydanticAI workflows with RAG (vector + graph) over internal documentation, logs, source code, and operational data to create rich context.

What we offer:

  • Salary from 3900 to 5200 EUR monthly gross

  • 80 EUR monthly cell phone and internet allowance

  • Flexible schedule and possibility to work in hybrid mode

  • Ergonomic home office allowance in value of 500 EUR

  • Possibility to work abroad for 4 weeks each year

  • Health Insurance – includes gym or pool fitness membership, covers consultations with a psychologist or psychotherapist (issued after 1 month)

  • Optics (200 EUR every 2 years)

  • 24 working days of annual paid holiday per year

  • 5 dedicated paid learning day’s annually

  • Day off on your birthday or names day

  • 1 day off for social activities (voluntary project, adopting an animal)

  • Collaborative, friendly and driven work environment

  • Work on innovations, cutting edge technologies and in autonomous high performance teams

  • Parking options

  • Continuous development environment that fosters your growth (conferences, cross-department experience sharing, learning platforms etc.)

  • Annual salary review
