The team/project:
At Swisscom Design Experience (SDX), we're building the foundation for consistent, accessible and scalable digital experiences across Swisscom. The SDX is more than just components and instructions. It is a design system, shaped by the entire design community and ecosystem with a shared responsibility for design and development.
As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be part of our international team in Switzerland and Riga, developing the Design System that empowers product teams to build high-quality user interfaces efficiently and consistently. Working closely with UX/UI Designers and Engineers, you'll transform design concepts into reusable frontend components while driving engineering excellence across our ecosystem.
You will be responsible for the further development and operation of our design system, which is used by almost all Swisscom web applications.
As Senior Frontend Developer you will:
Further development of the Custom Elements Library
Developing new patterns on an architectural level
Develop new and maintain existing components
Find the best way for AI to use the components out of a figma design
Carrying out code reviews
Coaching of team members
Maintenance of Gitlab pipelines
Support for questions, requests and bug reports
Tech stack you will work with: JavaScript, custom elements, Stencil, Typescript, JSX, SCSS, Git

Salary from 3800 to 5500 EUR monthly gross
80 EUR monthly cell phone and internet allowance

Engineering
JavaScript / TypeScript
HTML5 & CSS3 / SCSS
Angular, React, Vue.js, StencilJS or Lit
Git
Design Systems & Component Libraries (nice to have)
Browser debugging and frontend performance (nice to have)
Accessibility (WCAG) (nice to have)
GitLab (nice to have)
DevOps & Delivery
You have an understanding of DevOps concepts, or you're eager to learn and develop your DevOps skills
DevOps responsibilities will make up approximately 10% of this role
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile software delivery is an advantage
You are comfortable contributing to the DevOps aspects of software delivery as part of a cross-functional team
