We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience automation testing using Java and Selenium, along with a foundational understanding of functional testing. You will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts, identifying defects, and working closely with the functional testing team to ensure software quality.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium
- Perform functional, regression, and system integration testing to ensure software quality
- Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA or other defect management tools
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design automated test cases accordingly
- Work closely with the functional testing team to ensure comprehensive test coverage

Job requirements
What we expect:
- 5+ years of experience in automation testing
- Strong Proficiency in Java and Selenium for test automation
- Good knowledge on Maven
- Good knowledge on version control mechanisms like Gitlab
- Good knowledge on continuous integration tools like Jenkins / Gitlab CI/CD
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, and system testing
- Basic understanding of manual testing concepts
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (scaled Agile Framework Certification will be a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Very good written and spoken English
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation
- Exposure to API testing tools like Postman.
