We're expanding our footprint in Riga and actively seeking 50+ DevOps Engineers to join our growing teams within this year.

The team/project: At Swisscom, we provide a range of innovative networking solutions to our B2B customers, leveraging network virtualization to deliver services such as EC (swisscom.ch/ec) and BNS (swisscom.ch/bns) and many more. These services rely on thousands of virtual routers and firewalls running on our internal IaaS clouds, generating over 1 million metrics every 5 minutes. To effectively manage and analyze this vast amount of data, we aim to utilize big data approaches to aggregate, correlate, and identify anomalies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in both leading and supporting the development and implementation of monitoring business logic, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and enabling efficient detection of customer service issues.
As a part of the team, you will:
Contribute to the development of a robust and scalable monitoring platform that meets the evolving needs of our customers and business
Maintain and participate in the rollout of new platform versions aiming to continuously improve our monitoring capabilities
Help in leading a multidisciplinary DevOps team in a SAFe context as a part-time Team Coach/Scrum Master in order to achieve shared goals and deliver high-quality results
Work with various Cloud and IT systems based on Kubernetes, Openstack, Zabbix and Flink just to name a few!

Salary from 3700 to 5500 EUR monthly gross
80 EUR monthly cell phone and internet allowance

Job requirements
A curious and proactive team player who is enthusiastic about continuous learning and open to sharing knowledge
Candidates should be eager to expand their technical skills while embracing additional leadership responsibilities to coordinate and drive team efficiency in dynamic environments
Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as Ansible, Git, Gitlab Pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
You should exhibit readiness to extend your leadership scope, fostering agile methodologies and supporting the transition of teams into enhanced agile operations
Demonstrated experience working within a Scrum Team, with a preference for familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks like SAFe.
Capability to effectively lead Scrum ceremonies, support cross-functional team dynamics, and drive continuous improvement
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills with the ability to engage in difficult conversations and provide constructive feedback
Excellent command of English
Nice-to-have:
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus
Understanding of network fundamentals including Netconf, SNMP, routing protocols, switching, and IP addressing
Experience with Agile tools like Jira and Miro
