The product and team:

The Machine Learning Factory Team is a new team formed late in 2024 that will be 7 strong in Switzerland with colleagues in Riga joining. The Team exists in order to make ML easy for everyone Swisscom. To enable Machine Learning (ML) professionals & enthusiasts to easily build ML models and seamlessly transition from prototyping to production through efficient, scalable, and self-service solutions. We are part of Swisscom's One Data Platform (ODP), the single place to create & share data products at Swisscom. We are part of Swisscom's "Data Analytics & AI" division, the ART Data Services. What will you do as MLOps Engineer?

1. Build and maintain scalable ML Factory solutions and corresponding ML infrastructure for Swisscom colleagues & B2B Customers in AWS.
2. Collaborate with Software & DevOps engineers to automate and streamline the ML lifecycle from data acquisition to model deployment.
3. Monitor and optimise system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability for the ML Factory solutions.

Job requirements

  • Deep understanding of AWS and its various services (S3, IAM, Lambda, Networking, CloudWatch, etc.)

  • Infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployments (AWS CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)

  • Strong experience in DevOps practices including CI/CD, tools and methodologies (GitlabCI).

    What Sets you apart:

  • Experience in Software Development practices, including version control (Gitlab), testing, debugging, and writing clean code.

  • Experience in automating ML deployment of machine learning models into production environments.

  • Collaborating with an international and geographically distributed team, embracing cultural diversity, and engaging with different stakeholders

  • Good English
