We are seeking a detail-oriented Functional Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual testing, defect management using JIRA, and a foundational understanding of test automation. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications by executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Execute functional, regression, and system integration testing to ensure software quality
  • Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and design test cases accordingly
  • Perform manual testing to validate software functionality and user experience
  • Work closely with automation engineers to understand and contribute to basic automation test scripts
  • Document test cases, test results, and any defects encountered during testing
  • Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting activities

Job requirements

What we expect: 

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing
  • Proficiency in defect management tools, particularly JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in functional, regression, and system testing
  • Basic understanding of Selenium automation (ability to read and modify scripts is a plus)
  • Good knowledge on Telecom Domain would be a plus
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (scaled Agile Framework Certification will be a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Very good written and spoken English

Nice to have: 

- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.

- Exposure to API testing tools like Postman.
