The team/project:
The team is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of a several Geoinformation Systems (GIS), a central components of the Swisscom IT infrastructure, which support an important business processes in a network construction and operation domain. RIDA, as one of the mentioned GIS, in addition to the internal needs (serving around 900 of internal Swisscom users) is also fulfilling a legal requirements in accordance with the Swiss Geoinformation Act and providing an access to so-called Swisscom network information portal for above 20 000 of external users, regularly needed for their daily business processes.
We are looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will ensure that our systems remain stable and efficient while developing innovative solutions and supporting our users. In your role as DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the system development and maintenance, analyzing problems and logs, monitoring the system usage and performance. In addition, your area of responsibility includes testing of the delivered features and fixes, user support and troubleshooting of the reported issues and fulfillment of other tasks according to the team backlog and business requirements.
You will:
Collaborate with development and business colleagues as well as other teams in the network construction area to develop new features, define possible solutions, bug fixes and ensure data quality and system stability
Support the operational team in the installation process, testing the delivered software releases, as well as identifying the bugs and necessary fixes and improvements
Ensure the flow of information for the internal and external users throughout Switzerland
Perform as 2nd and 3rd level technical support specialist, including problem analysis, reproduction, troubleshooting and incident management
Monitor the system usage, issues and performance and ensure stabile operation
Support the network information community
Document features, interfaces, use cases and know-how
Collaborate in an international agile team and adapt to the new technologies and methods

Salary from 2300 to 4000 EUR monthly gross
80 EUR monthly cell phone and internet allowance

Job requirements
Experience and expertise in IT for the telecommunications sector, especially GIS and PNI
Knowledge of the network construction process and practical experience in IT development and support for the telecommunications industry
Skills in the tools/SW usage such as Kibana, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, experience on Oracle DB (pref. Geospatial data), Jenkins, GitLab, Geoserver, MapFish, Tomcat etc.
Practical experience in the development process in part of requirements engineering, solution design, testing and support.
Education in computer science, telecommunications or a relevant field (ETH/Uni/UAS/HF)
A solution-oriented and team-oriented personality with initiative and a sense of responsibility
Self-organization and willingness to take the responsibility over complex end-to-end tasks
Willingness to work in an agile environment and undergo regular further training
Fluent in English
