The product and team:

You will join our dynamic DevOps Engineering Team, consisting of 6 talented professionals based in Riga and Switzerland, dedicated to developing and operating a cutting-edge power monitoring and SCADA solution for our Central Offices in Switzerland

As a DevOps Engineer you will:

  • Perform Full Stack software development following secure software development practices

  • Focus on infrastructure and operational aspects of IT development and deployment

  • Participate in IT development strategical decisions taking


Tech-stack you will be working with:

  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes)

  • Java backend (Micronaut/Spring Boot)

  • ReactJS (frontend)

  • Stream processing pipeline (Apache Kafka)

  • RDBMS (Postgres)

  • Time series database (TimescaleDB)

  • Data Lake (Apache Iceberg/S3)

  • Monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana)

  • Edge computing components (PLC4X, KubeEdge)

What we offer:

  • Salary from 2400 to 3500 EUR monthly gross

Job requirements

  • Track record of successfully developing enterprise-grade applications in Java with readiness to learn other programming languages

  • Experience to work on Linux platforms and in cloud environments Scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Groovy, etc.)

  • Operations of applications and services with focus on stability, availability and performance

  • Eagerness to learn, integrate and implement new concepts and technologies

  • Ability to build CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD)

  • Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration

  • Cloud Knowledge (CaaS, PaaS)

  • Security awareness

  • Experience with monitoring/tracing

  • Agile mindset and long term experience with either SCRUM/Kanban or comparable agile frameworks

  • Good English
