The team/project:
As an Adobe Experience Platform Data Engineer at Swisscom, you'll play a pivotal role in our Customer Data Platform, Adobe Real-Time CDP. Your responsibilities include gathering and managing data from diverse digital and internal channels such as websites, apps, social media, CRM, and big data sources. This crucial role ensures seamless integration of data for effective profile identification and user engagement in the digital sphere. Additionally, you'll configure and incorporate analytics tools to capture essential metrics. Your active participation in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews will contribute significantly to the team's success.

Job requirements

As Adobe Experience Platform Engineer you will:

  • Take responsibility end-to-end, beyond just implementation pipelines to feed the platform. You build it, you run it!
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify and collect data requirements for AEP - Customer Data Platform
  • Provide data insights to maximize Swisscom sales goals
  • Supervise and maximize profile identification techniques across all communication channels
  • Supervise platform performance and identify areas for optimization and improvement
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and validation rules
  • Write and maintain documentation for data architecture, data flows and data mappings
  • Work with product owners to prioritize platform features and improvements based on business objectives and customer needs
  • Work in a multinational distributed team with colleagues from Latvia, Switzerland and the Netherlands
  • Show independence, flexibility, opportunities and growth


Skill Check:

  • Proven experience in developing, deploying and maintaining AEP data structures integration with various source systems (defines XDM schema, datasets, data streams, unified profile rules, etc.)
  • Proven experience in developing, testing and deploying data pipelines ETL jobs and data processing workflows using big data technologies e.g Kafka, Hadoop, Spark etc.
  • Ability in using monitoring tools to make sure data is accurate complete and timely and follows data privacy and security standards
  • Ability in supervising and fixing data processing issues and implement corrective actions
  • Knowledge of further Adobe Experience Cloud tools or other Martech tools is a plus
  • Strong customer and service orientation, as well as interpersonal and team skills
  • Experience with agile working methods
  • Very good written and spoken English
