WHAT YOU’LL DO AND IN WHAT CONTEXT:
The developers work in an agile Setup (Scrum, SAFe framework, Retrospectives, PI planning etc.) with different workloads.
The project you will work on, as a vital part of a small agile team within an agile release train, includes developing systems that manage the lifecycle of several main device types sold by Swisscom.
Experience in designing, developing, and delivering high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications is needed. This can include anything from complex groups of back-end services to their client-end counterparts.
Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the design and further development of these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, efficient solution design, and product quality is essential.
The role includes managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
Job requirements
What we expect:
- Willing to take responsibility end-to-end, beyond just implementation – You build it, You run it
- Strong Java/JEE development skills, experience with the Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem
- Experience with Javascript/Typescript, Angular, HTML, CSS
- Knowledge and experience with relational and non-relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Good knowledge and experience in object-oriented design and programming, data structures and design patterns
- Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools and practices, Jenkins, Git
- Knowledge and experience with Kafka or some other Message broker /RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kestrel/ would be a plus
- Knowledge and experience with architectural styles and patterns, such as MVC, Layered, Service-oriented, REST, Client-Server Asynchronous messaging is advantage
- Good understanding of Software development lifecycle
- Proficiency in English
