The product/ Team: 

We are looking for experienced and curious DevOps Engineers to join our team at Swisscom for an exciting AWS cloud migration project. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in migrating and operating applications on AWS cloud platform. You will work closely with internal platform engineers and business development teams (our clients) to ensure their applications are migrated and run smoothly and efficiently. What we offer our clients is best defined as: “You code and test, we do the rest!”

As a DevOps Engineer you will:

  • Work within a team of professionals to plan and execute the migration of applications and infrastructure to AWS
  • Deploy migrated applications to AWS EKS, execute data migrations and troubleshoot application runtime issues
  • Help and support business teams with all things AWS/infrastructure
  • Collaborate and coordinate with business development teams during the migration process, also taking the lead when needed
  • Maintain the automated infrastructure. This means lifecycle upgrades of EKS clusters, databases, ArgoCD versions and others
  • Implement and maintain different flavors of CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and release management
  • Provide observability capabilities by implementing monitoring in Grafana/Prometheus and CloudWatch
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Implement and follow best practices for security, scalability, and disaster recovery in AWS.


  • Salary from 2500 to 5800 EUR monthly gross

Job requirements


  • Experience with AWS Services with focus on EKS/EC2
  • IaC tools: Crossplane and CloudFormation
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar
  • Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes with ArgoCD, Helm)
  • Monitoring and Observability: CloudWatch and Grafana LGTM stack
  • Programming skills is an advantage: most of Swisscom workloads are written in Java/Springboot and Angular/JavaScript, knowledge of Python is beneficial
  • Degree in computer science is an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • AWS certifications, GCP or Azure experience is a plus
  • Personality that is motivated, independent and curious to learn
  • Good communication and English (business fluent) skills
